  • Cafeteria/Hall monitoring in order to educate students about correct bin use
  • One-sided paper boxes in every class
  • Introducing an order of Cascade’s 100% post-consumer fibre paper to staff
  • Using bulletin boards for club posters
  • A battery recycling program

Waste Audit Results [2010-2011]

On April 8th, 2011, members of the Environmental Council participated in a waste audit with a representative from EcoSchools. In brief, the results were as follows: 15% garbage; 60% compost; 14% recyclable and lots of one-sided paper.

Waste Audit Results [2009-2010]

On April 7th, 2010, members of the Environmental Council conducted a waste audit in order to determine the percentage of recyclables inside the garbage. Here are the results.

Using these results, the members of Environmental Council created a display case outside of the office in order to communicate the results to the rest of the school.
